Who Will Be Crowned Aviva Premiership Champions This Season?

Who’s your money on?

There are just five points covering the eight teams pursuing Aviva Premiership rugby leaders Exeter Chiefs, in the most competitive start to a campaign in history.

As things stand European champions Saracens are the clear favourites to win with all reputable sports betting operators like Unibet. But with the way this season has started, it’s anybody’s guess.

Holders Exeter currently sit top of the Premiership after their hugely impressive win over Wasps this past weekend, while the likes of Newcastle and Leicester have looked really impressive the last couple of weekends.

Even Northampton look like threat after bouncing back from their opening round defeat to Saracens with three wins in the trot, leaving them 3rd in the table, level on points with 2nd placed Saracens.

This weekend BT Sport will show three live matches from Kingston Park, Welford Road and the Ricoh Arena where Wasps will celebrate their 150th anniversary game against Bath. Both teams will be looking to bounce back after losing to Exeter and Newcastle respectively over the weekend.

European Player of the Year Owen Farrell goes into the weekend on a streak of 13 consecutive successful kicks, needing just 25 points to go through the 1,000-point barrier for Premiership Rugby. While Danny Care needs just one try for the 50th of his Premiership career and if he plays this will be the 100th Premiership match of Marland Yarde’s career.
