Welsh Legend Wants Warren Gatland To Make A Huge Selection Call For The 2nd Test

We’re not too sure about this one.

The Lions are 0-1 following the 1st Test in Auckland on Saturday, following a clinical performance from the All Blacks. The Lions impressed in many areas, but at the end of the day the world champions were just too good.

Ahead of the second Test on Saturday, Welsh legend Martyn Williams wants Warren Gatland to make a huge selection call, by dropping captain Peter O’Mahony. The Irishman was handed the role of skipper in the absence of Tour captain Sam Warburton, but Williams wants him reinstated for the clash in Wellington.

“I think the back row, as well as that unit has gone warming up, I don’t think it quite worked tonight,” said Williams.
“There’s no way you can drop Sean O’Brien. Sean O’Brien has got to start somewhere whether it’s six or seven, whether they go left or right, him and Sam,” added the 41-year-old.
“I do think they need to slow the All Blacks ball down which they didn’t tonight. They won a few turnovers but I just think you need the physical presence maybe of a Sam Warburton, O’Brien together alongside Faletau,”
