This looks nasty.
James Haskell made his long awaited return to action today with Wasps taking on Leicester Tigers in the Premiership. The England back-row has been out of action for the last seven months and started on the bench for his side.
The back-row forward limped off towards the end of England’s series-clinching second Test in Melbourne and underwent surgery after picking up a toe injury. His return this evening however didn’t go quite according to plan.
Haskell was barely on the pitch a minute when he put in a crunching tackle of Leicester fullback Freddie Burns, knocking himself unconscious in the process. The England star was out cold before he hit the ground.
He was removed from the game thankfully, and according to Wasp’s Director of Rugby Dai Young is up and about and should be ok.
