Sit down.
John Muldoon lined out for Connacht last night for an incredible 300th time. The legendary captain has spent his entire career with the western province, making his debut 13 years ago against the down defunct Border Reivers.
The 34 year-old has been with the province through the good and the bad, and was finally rewarded for his service last year with his first trophy as Pat Lam’s side secured the Guinness PRO12 championship.
The men they beat that day, Leinster, may have gotten the better of them last night, but Connacht put up a hell of a fight, with Muldoon once again leading the charge.
He couldn’t celebrate his 300th game with a win, but he did manage to finish the game with an almighty sit-down on Nick McCarthy in the 78th minute. John Muldoon we salute you. Absolute warrior among men.
