CJ Stander joins Stuart McCloskey, Josh van der Flier, Ultan Dillane and Finlay Bealham as one of the new faces in the Irish Rugby squad for the upcoming Six Nations and judging by this video, he couldn’t be happier.
Stander has been widely praised for the past number of months as the on-form backrow in the country, producing a number of man of the match performances despite Munster’s recent showing of poor form.
The former South Africa U20’s captain became eligible in October of this year under residency rules after initially coming to Munster as a project player. No doubt he has earned his spot in the Irish squad and given the opportunity will no doubt run with it, or through it…
