Watch: Bundee Aki Announced Himself To The International Scene In Typical Fashion
There wasn’t even a minute on the clock when Bundee Aki announced himself to the international scene against South Africa on Saturday evening at the Aviva Stadium.
The Connacht centre was making his debut for Ireland after recently becoming eligible through the three-year residency rule, and put in a monster hit with just 50 seconds on the clock, laying a marker down on the night for his adopted country.
It was the first of many brilliant moments for the New Zealand-born centre as he looked like a veteran in the Test arena at times, with some excellent defensive work, coupled with some sublime passes going forward.
An excellent addition to the Irish set-up, hopefully we can all now stop complaining about whether or not he should be playing for Ireland, and just enjoy what he brings to the squad.
