Warren Gatland Has Just Summed Up The Toughness Of Rugby Players With His Recent Comments

Dan-Lydiate-Rugby-World-Cup

Dan Lydiate suffered a nasty blow to the head in Wales pool game against Fiji which ruled him out for the game against Australia after he suffered damage to his eye socket.

Surgery was needed to repair the horror injury, and some thought that Lydiate would be ruled out for a significant period of time. Lydiate however is available for selection against South Africa, as Warren Gatland revealed today:

He won’t need any extra protection. He just had a little plate inserted into his eye socket. He was fit last week, but we made the decision that we didn’t select him, so he’s fine now.

Just a little plate inserted into his eye socket? Sure you know yourself.

Lydiate is expect to start opposite Sam Warburton in the Welsh back-row against South Africa this weekend.
