Wales Hit With Another Devastating Injury Blow Ahead Of Six Nations

Wales have been dealt another huge injury blow ahead of the Six Nations.

Lions back-row Dan Lydiate was ruled out for the season earlier this week and will miss the entire Six Nations and it’s not been revealed that they are in danger of being without prop Gethin Jenkins for the duration of the tournament also.

Jenkins is in danger of missing Wales’ entire Six Nations campaign due to an arm injury which could keep him out of action for up to three months. The veteran Cardiff Blues prop, who captained Wales in three of their autumn Tests, has suffered a suspected tear to his biceps muscle which may require surgery.

If worst fears are confirmed, he will be sidelined until March, which would rule him out of contention for the whole Six Nations. Jenkins has been in terrific form this season, leading to pundits suggesting he could be an outside shot for the Lions. This latest setback however, is a huge blow for both club and country.

Jenkins reportedly battled through last weekend’s Pro12 clash with Ulster at the Arms Park, having carried his arm injury into the game. Now Jenkins must to have the problem addressed and could well face a lengthy lay-off.
