This Frightening Realisation Shows Just How Hard A Tour The Lions Are In For
This is scary.
The Lions will be hoping to bounce back from their loss to the Blues on Wednesday when they travel to Christchurch on Saturday to take on the Crusaders. After two disappointing games so far, the Lions really need a win to get their tour back on course.
Warren Gatland has gone with an experienced side with 9 of the starting 15 players having featured on the 2013 tour of Australia. Owen Farrell, George North, Conor Murray, Sean O’Brien, George Kruis and Peter O’Mahony all come in to make their first starts of the tour.
Beating the All Blacks was always going to be tough, but did we expect it to be so hard to beat the clubs? Some will say they did, but at the end of the day, a team glittered with internationals really should be getting the job done.
The Crusaders are unbeaten this season and have a number of All Blacks in their side, but Gatland has named his strongest line-up yet. A much needed win is surely on the cards right? Not according to the bookies. The Lions are underdogs this weekend.
SkyBet are offering odds of 4/6 for the Crusaders to grab the win, while the Lions are pushed out at 11/10. Here’s hoping Gatland’s men can prove the bookies wrong.
