The Odds On Ireland To Beat New Zealand At The Aviva Are Shocking

We won’t lie, we were one of the lucky ones that stuck a cheeky tenner on Ireland on Saturday at 14/1.

The odds with some of the bookies were as high as 20/1, you’d imagine after a five-try,  40-29 win, you wouldn’t get anywhere nears those odds for the return fixture. You’d be wrong. Paddy Power currently have Ireland at 13/2 to repeat history in Dublin.

Even if you give Ireland a whopping 16-point lead, you still get odds of 10/11. Ireland ended a 111 year wait on Saturday and brought an test record 18-game winning streak to a haul, yet they are still very good value.

It is fair to say however, that the All Blacks will be out to seek revenge, and will more than likely welcome back their missing locks such as former World Player of the Year, Brodie Retallick, but you have to admit- 13/2 is pretty good value.

Ireland take on the All Blacks once again on the 19th November. Something tells us this might be worth a cheeky few quid. We wouldn’t bet our houses on it, but if you’ve some spare cash lying around, through a few pound on Joe Schmidt’s Ireland. Stranger things have happened.
