Six Nations Team Of Tournament So Far Statistically Speaking
Three games in and the defending champions Ireland are out of the race, with Eddie Jones’ England the only team still fighting for a Grand Slam.
England and Wales have looked most impressive while France have shown glimpses of improvement with Ireland unable to cope with their mounting injury list. Scotland and Italy have shown mixed form, but just who are the standout players according to rugby statistics site Rugby.net?
Every week we see an Irish, English, Welsh, Scottish, French and Italian view on the Six Nations team of the weekend but which players have statistically proven to be the best? Unbeaten England have four players featured while their closest counterparts Wales have also have four.
Surprisingly despite a poor tournament results-wise defending champions Ireland also have four players on the team with France having two and Scotland having just the one. No Italian player made the list. Here’s the team in full:
