Shane Williams Made His GAA Debut Last Night & He Didn’t Do Too Bad

It appears Shane Williams is a man of many talents.

The legendary Lions and Wales winger has recently taken up playing Gaelic Football for Glenswilly in Donegal as he competes on RTE’s Toughest Trade. The concept of the show is to take player’s and swap around their sports, to see if they can still do a job.

All-Ireland champion Michael Murphy has swapped GAA for a spot of rugby with Clermont Auvergne, while Williams laces up his football boots in the north of Ireland. The former World Rugby Player of the Year made his debut last night, and he didn’t do too bad at all.

In absolutely treacherous conditions, his side took on St. Mary’s of Convoy yesterday evening. The Welsh wizard had to not only come to terms with playing Gaelic Football for the first time, he also had to battle against some snowy weather.

How did he do? Not bad at all, chipping in with four points. What a legend.
