Ronan O’Gara Responds To Reports Linking Him With Munster Return
Not just yet.
Ronan O’Gara will no be returning to Munster anytime soon. The Racing 92 coach has been linked in recent days with a return to his old club as they seek a replacement for the outgoing Rassie Erasmus.
The Corkman however, says he is not the solution Munster are looking for at this stage in his coaching career.
“No, there have been no discussions,” he said.
“At this stage in my career, I would not be the solution that Munster are looking for so it’s blatantly obvious that there would be no contact.”
O’Gara reckons he will end up back in Munster, but it may take 5-10 years.
“I think about it a lot. I hope someday. It could take five years, it could take ten years when I feel I have the solutions to the questions a lot of the players can pose.
“It doesn’t burn at me to get home. Far from it. I’m enjoying what I’m doing and that is the most important thing.
“I’m up to my eyeballs here. We’re not the best team in Europe or near it and that is my concern. What Munster do is their concern and that is not being negative towards them. I’m completely hands full here and that is an understatement,” he told TV3 news.
