Ronan O’Gara Brilliantly Shut Down A Troll On Twitter Last Night

The dreaded internet troll.

Wikipedia defines an internet troll as a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community.

The dawn of the social media age has seen trolls multiply at exponential rates in recent years, and while most of us tend to ignore them, sometimes you just have to put them back in their box and shut them down.

Ronan O’Gara had the pleasure of dealing with one last night, with the Irish legend deciding enough is enough. The current Racing 92 coach made reference to Scott Williams’ outstanding performance against Leinster in their Guinness PRO12 semi-final clash, applauding his fantastic performance in Scarlets’ famous win.

Williams is the only member of the Welsh backline to have not made the Lions squad, with O’Gara commending him for his mental toughness, on a night where he was surrounded by members of the touring squad.

Some little troll then decided to rip into O’Gara and question his spot on the 2009 tour. Watching O’Gara shut him down was a pleasure for all who witnessed it.
