Revealed: Why Dan Biggar Won’t Sign A New Contract With Wales & Ospreys
Dan Biggar is holding back on signing a new deal with Wales and the Ospreys until the future of his half-back partner Rhys Webb is thrashed out.
Webb is out of contract at the end of the season and he is being targeted by English champions Saracens and record European club champions Toulouse.
Points machine Biggar is also heavily in demand across the continent following his starring performances in the World Cup, most notably in guiding Wales to Twickenham victory over England with 23 points.
Webb and Biggar have formed a glittering partnership at international level and regional level, but their current deals run out this summer.
Biggar wants every effort to be made by the WRU and the Ospreys to keep his scrum-half colleague in Wales before finalising a decision on his own future.
