The Queensland Reds take on The Crusaders in a Super 15 Qualifying Game this Friday with both sides receiving timely boosts again of the clash…

Influential duo back for Reds:
The Reds have received a timely boost ahead of their must-win clash with the Crusaders in Christchurch on Friday. Both Will Genia and James Horwill have been passed fit for Saturday’s encounter, having been forced to sit out last weekend’s final round of regular season action due to injury. Wallaby skipper Horwill comes back at theexpense of Ed O’Donoghue while Genia takes over the nine duties from Nick Frisby. Elsewhere, Rod Davies misses out through injury and so Dom Shipperley and Chris Feauai-Sautia line up on either wings. With Mike Harris also ruled out courtesy of a hamstring problem, Jono Lance fills the void in the centre.

Richie McCaw back for Crusaders:
After just 80 minutes of local rugby action under his belt, All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw has been named on the bench for the Crusaders’ clash with the Reds this weekend in Christchurch. Having spent the past 6 months on a sabbatical, Saturday’s must-win game represents the openside’s first involvement with Todd Blackadder’s side this campaign. McCaw takes over from Tom Donnelly amongst the replacements with Luke Whitelock providing both back and second row cover from the bench. Elsewhere for the Crusaders, lock Luke Romano has been passed fit and starts alongside Sam Whitelock in the engine room while Tom Taylor starts in midfield despite midweek concerns over his availability, after picking up a head knock last time out. Openside flanker Matt Todd, will earn his 50th cap for the franchise.
