Quade Cooper’s Toulon Experiment Could Be Over After Just One Season

Quade Cooper’s Toulon career could be over after just one season.

Despite going to great lengths to secure Cooper and threatening to sue the Australian international should he not join them in the summer following a pre-contract agreement, it seems Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal may choose to not extend his deal beyond the summer.

Cooper signed a one-year deal last year with the French outfit with an option to extend for a further year at the club’s discretion. Cooper’s performance’s this season have been mixed and judging by Boudjellal’s comments- they haven’t been good enough.

He [Cooper] will decide his future through his performances on the field. If he shines, the optional second year [in his contract] will be activated.

Lock up your outhalves, Toulon may be in the market this summer.
