This is insane.
It looks like Racing 92 are continuing where they left off last season with more controversy hitting the club. The Parisian side spent a lot of time in the headlines last season for all the wrong reasons, and now they’re back in them again after two of their players got in a vicious brawl.
According to French outlet Le Parisien, 105kg prop Viliami Afatia and 135kg prop Ben Tameifuna came to blows following their home defeat to Lyon over the weekend.
The pair were found on the street in the early hours of Sunday morning, with Tameifuna having given his front-row partner Afatia a vicious beating. The latter’s face was left “bloody and swollen” according to a police report, and he was hospitalised with a suspected fracture to his face.
The best part is Tameifuna was arrested, but police were forced to lead him to the station, because they could not place handcuffs on his wrists as they were too thick to fit! You honestly couldn’t make this stuff up.
