Sometimes it’s hard to put into words just how special a sport rugby really is.
The rugby world came to a standstill last Sunday when we learned of Anthony Foley’s tragic passing. One of our own was taken from us in an instant at the tender age of 42.
A coach, a captain, a hero, but above all- a love husband and father. Gone in an instant before we had a chance to say goodbye. Since then there have been tributes pouring in from all over the world. Rugby has once again shown the world, it really is a very special sport.
The latest has come from Welsh side, the Scarlets, who will wear the number eight on their jersey this weekend in honour of the late, great Anthony Foley. A touch of class from the Welshmen.
We will remember Anthony Foley @ChampionsCup this Saturday by wearing #Munster8 with pride. #rugbyunited pic.twitter.com/62T8ILdkGA
