Pic: Nigel Owens Keeps His Word To Young Fan With Wonderful Gesture

It’s pretty safe to say Nigel Owens is a bit of a legend.
Nigel Owens is widely regarded as the best referee in the world but the Welshman was on touchline duty last weekend for Ireland’s game with Australia. Owens, who refereed the Connacht and Cardiff Blues PRO12 game on the Friday, was called in as a last minute replacement for the game at the Aviva.
An excellent picture has being doing the rounds since of a young Irish fan posing for a selfie with Owens in the background. The young lad shouted at Owens to give him a wave and he responded brilliantly.
Owens then contacted the young Ulster and Ireland fan who took the picture so he can send him a reward for his photography skills and tonight posted a picture of the wonderful gift he’s sending him.
What an absolute gent. Fair play Nigel!
