It’s still over a month until the official, week-long series of remembrance events for the 1916 Rising but many sports teams and stars have been compelled to pay tribute already.
Leinster and Ireland outhalf Ian Madigan, who has made three appearances for Ireland in this year’s Six Nations, is remembering the rebels. On Instagram, this morning, he posted:
“A fitting first outing for these boots winning 19-16. Remembering those who died in the Easter Rising”
Sheer class from the Leinsterman.
