Peter Stringer Set To Link Up With Old Teammate As He Finds New Club
Peter Stringer has found himself a new club.
The 39 year-old scrumhalf made it known that he planned on playing on this season after being released by Sale. He has now signed a 6-month contract with Worcester Warriors, meaning he will link up with old teammate Donncha O’Callaghan.
The experienced nine will join Premiership side this week as cover for Francois Hougaard who is set to be away on international duty during the start of the season. Stringer has a wealth of experience in the game having played 98 Tests for Ireland, which has included a Grand Slam and three Triple Crowns.

Warriors Director of Rugby Gary Gold said:
“Peter is an experienced number nine who will play a key role in the absence of Francois.
“He’s in incredible physical shape for someone of 39 years of age, and he is an outstanding role model for our younger players.”
“I’m looking forward to meeting all the lads and being reunited with Donncha.
“I’m feeling as fit and ready as ever and am genuinely excited about getting back on the field as I feel I still have plenty to offer.”
