Peter O’Mahony endured a torrid year with injury.
The Munster captain suffered a horrific knee injury in Ireland’s Rugby World Cup pool game with France last year and missed the entire 2015/16 season as a result. The rehabilitation process has taken much longer than many expected, due to a series of setbacks for the flanker but he has now revealed when he expects to return.
“I am hoping to play somewhere around two, three, four.” O’Mahony has revealed.
Munster were dealt a huge blow with news of Francis Saili’s recovery time expected to take up to four months, but news of O’Mahony’s long awaited return will be a huge boost for Rassie Erasmus and his new team.
