New Zealand Maori Name Strong Squad For Clash With Munster In Thomond Park

Head Coach Colin Cooper and Assistant Coach Tana Umaga have named a strong Maori All Blacks squad for their November tour which includes a clash with Munster at Thomond Park on Friday November 11th.

Six new caps have been named in the side including this year’s New Zealand U20 captain, Wellington’s Leni Apisai.

Other star players include Chiefs pair of fullback Marty McKenzie (brother of Damian) and winger James Lowe, Hurricanes Super Rugby winning winger Matt Proctor, Blues outhalf Ihaia West, Olympics star Akira Iaone, Highlanders flanker Ash Dixon and All Black scrumhalf Brad Webber.

Their northern tour commences with the Maori All Blacks taking on the USA Eagles in Chicago on Friday November 4th in an historic double header “Rugby Weekend” with the All Blacks playing Ireland at Chicago’s Soldier Field stadium the following evening.

Thomond

The Maori All Blacks play Munster on Friday November 11th at 7.30pm.
