New Zealand hooker Rhys Marshall joins up with the Munster squad this week as the province prepares for a Friday night clash with Ospreys at Irish Independent Park, 7.35pm.

Marshall joins Munster from Super Rugby side the Chiefs after penning a three-year deal that keeps him at the province until June 2019.

The young front-row comes with huge promise having made his Super Rugby debut when he was just 20, before he had even played an ITM Cup game.

The 24 year-old’s arrival couldn’t have came at a better time with Munster losing another hooker to injury in the form of Duncan Casey against Glasgow in the Champions Cup.

Munster currently sit fourth in the Guinness PRO12 ahead of Friday’s clash in Cork.
