Munster Rugby is back and it’s better than ever.
In all our years following the game we’ve never seen a turn around quite like Munster’s this season. One of rugby’s most decorated clubs lost it’s way over the last couple of years, but in the wake of the tragic passing of their former coach and captain- have been brought together in solidarity.
Munster’s fans and players have honoured Anthony Foley in the greatest way possible, they’ve restored pride in the province and brought back the club that he fell in love with.
Foley once said:
“I’ve always grown up with the (mentality) I wanted to play for Munster more than anything. (If) you got the opportunity to play you know, you take it, you cherish it.”
The players have done that this year and the fans have gotten behind them in record numbers. Munster recorded the highest home attendance of any club in the Champions Cup pool stages this season.
Three games. Three sellouts. 77,400 supporters. Incredible.
