Munster Reveal Changes To Their Coaching Set-Up

Jerry Flannery and Felix Jones have both signed two-year contract extensions with Munster Rugby.

In signing the new deals, both players have also taken on new roles under Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus. Flannery has been promoted from scrum coach to forwards coach, while Jones takes up the role of backs and attack coach having worked as a technical coach in his first season.

Former Munster and Ireland hooker Flannery has been working with the province in a coaching capacity since the 2014/15 season, helping them to two Guinness PRO12 finals and a Champions Cup semi-final.

Jones, who also who made the transition from player to coach have been forced to retire early due to injury, has made an instant impression at the province. He’s currently on duty with Ireland, assisting with their summer series under head coach Joe Schmidt.

Team manager Niall O’Donovan has also put pen to paper on a three-year deal.
