Who would you rather Munster keep?
Munster look set to keep Jaco Taute next season with Francis Saili set to depart the province according to reports in The Irish Independent.
The southern province were granted an extension to Taute’s contract back in January, despite Saili already taking up the allocated NIQ spot. They only have permission however to retain one of the star centre’s next season, with Saili set to be shown the door after a two-year stint with the province.
The New Zealander arrived from the Auckland Blues back in 2015 and enjoyed an excellent first season. A shoulder injury however kept him out of the first half of this season, allowing Taute to come in and take the opportunity with both hands, becoming an instant hit.
Saili has plenty of suitors, with English Premiership side Harlequins said to be leading the race for his signature. While nothing has been signed yet with Taute as he has a contract with the Stormers until the end of the year, Munster are said to be confident they can reach an agreement with the Super Rugby side.
