Munster Have Been Dealt A Massive Blow In Their Bid For A Champions Cup Spot
It’s been a difficult season for Munster fans.
The southern province crashed out of the Champions Cup at the group stage for a second successive season, and have struggled in the PRO12 to make matters even worse. Last week the red army were given a huge boost with Peter O’Mahony finally returning to training after a horrific injury at the Rugby World Cup ruled him out for most of the season.
Munster have now been dealt a huge blow heading into the final rounds of the PRO12 with Anthony Foley admitting today that he doesn’t expect Peter O’Mahony to return this season. Munster are currently in the last of the Champions Cup spots, just a point ahead of Edinburgh heading into this weekend’s game with Connacht at the Sportsground.
Their penultimate PRO12 game this season is with Edinburgh.
