Bristol shocked the rugby world with the announcement earlier in the week that they had captured the signature of Hurricanes winger, Jason Woodward.
Woodward will arrive in Bristol at the beginning of November. He represented the Wellington franchise in this year’s Super Rugby final, starting on the wing in August’s 20-3 victory over the Lions. The 26 year-old versatile back has made 43 appearances in Super Rugby for Melbourne Rebels and the Hurricanes, notching 252 points.
Eddie Jones has now received a massive boost with the New Zealander declaring he would consider an England call-up should he be needed.
The versatile back qualifies to play for England through his ancestry, and previously spent two years in England on on exchange at Hartpury College.
