It seems Leigh Halfpenny is heading home after all.
Following up on yesterday’s report by Midi Olympique that Leigh Halfpenny is closing in on a move back to Wales, sources close to The Rugby Paper in South Wales are also confident a deal to bring him home is close.
Wasps and Bath made it clear they are not interested, while Leicester Tigers are set to sign Jonny May, leaving a return to one of the Welsh regions the most viable option for the Lions fullback.
The WRU are set to step in with a contract and while it’s likely he will once again link up with Cardiff Blues, the Dragons are also said to be keen.
