Legendary Forward Announces His Retirement From International Rugby

Legendary Georgia forward Mamuka Gorgodze has announced his retirement from international rugby.

The 32 year-old Toulon forward made the announcement this morning having represented his country 62 times.

The Georgia captain is probably their most famous export and has played a huge part in his country’s dominance in the Rugby Europe Championship in recent years.

Gorgodze made his debut in 2003 against Spain, at the age of just 18 and not long after he started playing rugby.

One of the all-time greats, Gorgodze played in two Rugby World Cups, 2011 and 2015.
