Joey Carbery On Whether He Prefers To Play At Outhalf Or Fullback

The team comes first.

Ireland and Leinster playmaker Joey Carbery enjoyed an incredible breakout season last year for both club and country. Just months are leading Clontarf to All-Ireland glory, Carbery found himself playing against the All Blacks and he hasn’t looked back since.

While he’s been primarily deployed at 10 under Joe Schmidt however, Leo Cullen has opted to use him at fullback with Leinster. The Irish set-up have made it know that they see him as a ten, but his performances at 15 for Leinster have been electric.

The question is, where does Carbery prefer to play?

“My favourite position is to play in would be 10.” Carbery told reporters.
“But if I’m on the pitch and I’ve to play prop I’d be happy enough to get on with it!”
“It’s more so what the team needs from me, but my favourite position is 10.

Where do you think Carbery performs best?
