Jerry Flannery’s Heartfelt Tribute To The Late Anthony Foley
The late, great, Anthony Foley will be buried in Killaloe today.
The Munster head coach and former captain, was tragically found dead in his hotel room in Paris last Sunday as a result of a heart condition. His passing, at just 42 has stunned the rugby world and brought it to a standstill.
Many friends, family, former teammates and members from the media have been paying tribute this week to one of Munster’s most famous sons as we all come to terms with his passing.
Jerry Flannery spent much of his life either playing alongside or coaching alongside Foley. The two have been close friends for many years, and it was Foley who brought Flannery into the Munster coaching set-up as his scrum coach.
The former hooker paid his tributes this week, in this touching post.
St.Munchins, Shannon RFC, Munster and Ireland. I am heartbroken. You were everything I ever wanted to be and you will always be my hero. RIP pic.twitter.com/XLme6JTms6
