Ireland Handed Massive Boost Ahead Of All Blacks November Test

Ireland v New Zealand - International Match

Ireland will need all the help they can get in November against the All Blacks judging by the World Champions current form.

A good place to start is a full compliment of fit and ready players and today Leo Cullen has handed Joe Schmidt a massive boost.

“Robbie and Sean, post their surgeries – Robbie had his operation post the tour [to South Africa] – they’re making good progress. You’re probably looking at five to six weeks with Robbie.

“Seanie had his surgery at the end of the last season. It was probably the most major of the surgeries out of the three of them. He’s probably on a similar timeline to Robbie at the moment.”

What that means is both Robbie Henshaw and Sean O’Brien are on course for October returns and should be fit and ready, with some game time under their belts heading into the mammoth clash.

Add in the fact that both Johnny Sexton and Peter O’Mahony are slated for returns in late September and you’re looking at an Irish team, that heads into a test game with almost a clean bill of health for the first time in nearly two years.

Bring on the All Blacks.
