Injury Setback For Leinster Star
Leinster have confirmed that fullback Rob Kearney will be out for a “number of weeks” after undergoing surgery on a bicep injury.
The Ireland star missed out on the win over England and Leinster’s European triumph this past weekend, but will be hugely encouraged by the fact that Joey Carbery played a starring role at fullback against Wasps.
Leinster are hopeful that Adam Byrne will return to training next week and expect him to be fit for the last four clash with Clermont. Byrne was replaced during the first-half of the 32-17 quarter-final win.
The winger has a “low-grade” hamstring strain and is out of the PRO12 visit to the Ospreys this weekend, but should return to training next week.
Sean Cronin will be available for selection against the Ospreys after a try-scoring substitute appearance for Leinster ‘A’ last Friday.
