Huge Boost For Munster As Champions Cup Opponents Leicester Suffer Massive Injury Blow

Munster’s Champions Cup opponents Leicester have suffered a massive injury blow.

The resurgent southern province are set to take on the English giants in round 3 and 4 of the Champions Cup this year, with news breaking today that will give them a significant boost heading into the fixtures.

Australian star signing, Matt Toomua has been ruled out for six months with an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Toomua made his debut for Leicester in the Champions Cup against Glasgow however, is second appearance for the Tigers saw the centre limp off the field with what looked to be a minor injury.

However the BBC have since reported that the 33 times capped international suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage during Sunday’s 27-17 European Champions Cup win over Racing 92.

Centre Manu Tuilagi also yet to recover from a series of injuries and the loss of Toomua will no doubt come as a major blow.
