Here Are The Changes Warren Gatland Must Make For The 2nd Test

We go again.

The Lions are 0-1 are the first Test and now all eyes turn to Wellington as Gatland’s men look to rescue to series by evening things up.

The performance in many ways was good, with a lot of positives to take from the clash at Eden Park, but if the Lions are to get a win on Saturday, they’re gonna have a to make a couple of changes.

Firstly Maro Itoje has to come into the side in place of Alun Wyn Jones. The English lock made a real difference when he came on and deserves to start ahead of the Welsh captain, with an impact lock along the lines of Lawes or Henderson on the bench.

Sexton should also come in at ten, with Farrell switching to twelve. Te’o can then be used as an impact sub, something he’s done very effectively for England. Another man who could cause problems off the bench is CJ Stander.

Here’s the side Gatland should go with

15. Liam Williams
14. Anthony Watson
13. Jonathan Davies
12. Owen Farrell
11. Elliot Daly
10. Johnny Sexton
9. Conor Murray
