Trevor Brennan’s son, Daniel, has been named in France’s provisional squad for the upcoming under-20s Six Nations.

The young prop signed a two-year development deal with French side Toulouse back in June and now looks set to make his Six Nation’s debut for his adopted country. Daniel captained France U17’s in the past and played in the u18’s squad that won the European Championships.

His father Trevor carved out a highly successful career for himself with Toulouse following a move from Leinster back in 2002. The versatile forward, who could play lock or in the back-row, played in three consecutive Heineken Cup finals, winning two.

Daniel has lived in France with his father since he was a baby and is fluent in French. He has now been named in the 30-man U20’s Six Nations squad, and could end up lining up against Ireland this year.

The young star was also selected in FFR’s U19 ‘Pôle France’ in 2015, which is a group of 23 of the most highly-rated rugby prodigies in France. Trevor currently runs a pub in Toulouse called De Danú.
