Former Ireland Boss Eddie O’Sullivan Lands Head Coach Role

Former Ireland head coach Eddie O’Sullivan will take the top job at Old Belvedere next season.

O’Sullivan will take over following the departure of Paul Cunningham after four years at the Leinster club. The former USA Eagles boss has been assisting Cunningham for the last three months, with Belvo crowned Leinster Senior League champions.

The side, however, suffered relegation from the top flight while also losing both the Ulster Bank Bateman Cup and Leinster Senior Cup finals.

“Eddie is fully committed to Old Belvedere, and he is already hard at work putting in place structures, speaking with our existing players and assisting with player recruitment, as we seek to strengthen our panel” said Old Belvedere Club President Wille Norse.

O’Sullivan’s last coaching role was with Biarritz, but he departed just three games into the 15/16 season after a poor start to the campaign.
