English Premiership Star Rejects Wales Call-Up For June Tour
Bath centre Max Clark has apparently turned down a call-up to join the Wales squad for their June tour.
Caretaker Wales boss Robin McBryde was knocked back by the promising Bath centre before naming his squad for the summer tour earlier this week according to WalesOnline.
The 21-year-old, was born in Bridgend and has a Welsh mother, but is understood to be holding out hope for selection with England in the future. He has played for England through the age-grade ranks and was part of the England under-20s side that were defeated by New Zealand in the 2015 World Rugby U20s Championship final.
He has previously stated he has no interest in declaring for Wales and it seems he will stick to his guns. Wales face Tonga at Eden Park in Auckland on June 16 before travelling to Apia to take on Samoa a week later.
