Eddie Jones Finally Discusses Manu Tuilagi & Denny Solomona Incident
Eddie Jones says the door is not closed for Manu Tuilagi & Denny Solomona.
The England head coach sent the duo home from a training camp last month, after the returned in the early hours of the morning intoxicated.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Jones says if their attitude improves, they will be selected.
“Everybody makes bad mistakes, we’ve all done it. So we’ll just assess them at the next period in time. I’ve already met one of them face to face and if their attitude is right we’ll pick them, if not, we won’t.
“These things happen, it’s a poor choice. I understand they made a poor choice.”
While Tuilagi has been in trouble a number of times already, Jones says he has only crossed him once and that’s all that matters. He did however, reveal this was his only chance with Jones.
“He’s only done it once with me, the same with Denny.
“Everybody talks about previous records but he’s only done it once with me. If he does it again he’ll be spending a lot of time in the Midlands.”
