Dan Carter Pays Hommage To The Late Jonah Lomu
Last month the world lost the first ever global rugby superstar.
Jonah Lomu will forever be remembered as one of the greatest ever players the world has ever seen. Lomu set the world alight when he announced himself upon the international stage in the 1995 World Cup in South Africa.
When Dan Carter received the award for Overseas Personality of the Year at the BBC Sports Awards last night, special mention was given to Lomu. Many acknowledge the late winger’s greatness, but Carter’s claim that he was the sole reason that rugby turned professional is a truly fitting tribute.
