Chris Ashton Requests Saracens Exit, Meets European Giants To Discuss Move
We may have seen the last of Chris Ashton in an England or Saracens jersey.
The banner winger is set to call time on his England career after a meeting with Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal about a move to France.
Sportsmail understands the pair met in London last week, with the disillusioned 29-year-old considering a move abroad after being stung by a series of lengthy suspensions.
Ashton has a long-term contract with Saracens but his party believe an early release could be negotiated because the club sympathise with his ‘unfair’ treatment.
Apparently Lions and Wales winger has requested a move at the end of the season which could see funds freed up for an Ashton move to France as a replacement for the fullback.
Has Ashton been treated unfairly?
