Amazing Scenes As Munster Secure Historic Victory Over Maori All Blacks
How do they keep doing it?
Munster have made it a bit of a tradition, welcoming touring sides to Thomond Park over the years. The likes of New Zealand and Australia have visited the famous ground over the years, with the southern province famously defeating both sides in 1978 and 2010 respectively.
A well worked maul gave them the lead with just minutes on the clock before the Maori fought back with two quick fire tries. Munster were then granted a penalty try as Rory Scannell was clearly taken out as he went in on the try line. Darren Sweetnam touched down late in the first half, giving Munster a 17-14 lead at half-time.
An early penalty got Munster on their way before Ronan O’Mahony grabbed Munster’s fourth try in the 68th minute.
Final score Munster 27-14 Maori All Blacks 14
To brave and the faithful, nothing is impossible.
