A Surprise Country Has Reportedly Entered The Race To Join The PRO12

The PRO12 is set for a serious revamp over the next couple of years.

Reports this morning revealed that PRO12 chiefs have been in talks to expand the competition across the Atlantic with the addition USA and Canadian franchises.

The Scotsman are reporting that that new league format will be called the ‘Guinness Atlantic Rugby Championship,’ and is planned to begin as early as the 2018-19 season.

Fresh reports however are coming in that suggest Germany are also interested in joining the PRO12.

They have reportedly set aside £26.5m in funding for new infrastructure, including a new stadium and hope to qualify for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
